FALL IN TREE WELL RESULTS IN $300,000 SETTLEMENT

A caucasian female, 50 years of age, hired SILER & INGBER, LLP to commence a lawsuit on her behalf. Our client, an outreach worker, was attending a soup kitchen at a Church in NYC where she interacted and provided information about HIV and drug use to those attending. Due to the overwhelming crowd, the porters and security personnel of the Church set up stanchions on the sidewalk in front of the Church to maintain a single line in orderly fashion. However, people were standing on both sides of the stanchions and crowding the sidewalk in front of the Church and around the tree well. As the Plaintiff weaved through the crowd towards the entrance, she stepped into the tree well resulting in her fall causing her to suffer serious knee injuries. Ronald Ingber argued that the Defendant, its servants and employees, created a dangerous condition by placing obstructions encroaching over the sidewalk thereby impeding its normal use and was negligent in failing to maintain the crowd behind the stanchions. The matter settled for $300,000. Feel free to call your NY accident attorney Ronald Ingber for a free consultation at 1-877-529-4343
