$125,000 SETTLEMENT AGAINST SCHOOL DISTRICT

Jed Kirsch recently obtained a settlement on behalf of a 10 year old girl who was injured when she fell while playing on playground equipment during recess at her elementary school.  After being retained by the family, our office hired a playground safety expert who conducted an onsite inspection of the equipment. He concluded that the playground equipment, as well as the playground area itself, did not conform to existing standards of safety and that a dangerous and hazardous condition existed at the time of the accident, which the local school district failed to correct.
Our client sustained fractures of the left elbow and wrist, requiring orthopedic treatment and physical therapy.  Although she has made a good recovery, we were able to obtain an excellent settlement of $125,000, based upon our preparation for trial and our persistence in moving the case along and keeping pressure on the school district.  If you or a loved one is injured in a playground incident, call SILER & INGBER, LLP at 877-529-4343 for a free consultation.
