CLIENT STRUCK BY PALLET JACK RECEIVES $1.1 MILLION DOLLARS

SILER & INGBER, LLP partner Ronald Ingber obtained a $1,100,000 settlement at trial in a case involving a 64 year old man who was struck by a pallet jack while at work.  During the discovery phase of the case, attorney S. Sengupta conducted numerous depositions and successfully opposed defendant's motion for summary judgment bringing to light the multiple departures committed by the defendant who owner the pallet jack.  S. Sengupta asserted that the defendant negligently entrusted  the pallet jack and failed to properly train and/or supervise those who utilized the instrumentality.

As a result of the accident, our client injured his knee and back.  His knee sustained a torn meniscus requiring arthroscopic surgery and in his back a herniated lumbar disc requiring a discectomy. Eventually, our client underwent the surgeries. Ron settled the case for $1,100,000 at trial in Kings County Supreme Court.
